![]() ![]() So, my question is, is there anything to worry about now that fast charge is working again? The smell is still there but it seems to be fading away. I let it charge wirelessly overnight, then tried wired charging again, and now quick charge is working fine again. Using a different cable, and after waiting a few hours, the phone charges slowly and won't recognize quick charge. At that point I noticed a very distinct burning smell coming from the charge port and the cable. It wouldn't start up until I forced it into recovery mode, then it booted up fine but wouldn't charge. It boot-looped a few times, then went black. Not the best idea, I know, but I figured it'd automatically stop charging if there was an issue.Īt one point the phone stopped showing the charging notification, and then completely shut down about a minute later. ![]() It also rained for a bit at one point, so there's a chance water got in the port, but the charger was plugged in the whole time. So yesterday I had my portable charger which has quick charge 3.0 plugged into the phone as I was running around outside in 80 degree weather and actively playing Pokemon Go. ![]()
